Statement of Teaching Philosophy

I am curious. I ask questions, I want to know how the natural world works. I have always been inclined to teach, but only after having a conversation with my mentor did teaching high school become viable. I believe I can empower student to believe in themselves and their abilities, that they can be curious and use critical thinking skills to navigate their way through their life. Fitness is very important to me, it is a facet of my life that I view as a lifelong journey to a living a life that I love. Education holds that same position in my life. For my students, it means that they are a part of my passion for learning. It is my goal that this serves as a catalyst that causes them to actively set and achieve goals throughout their lives.
