I have been watching this on the History Channel and can't get enough. I went out and bought the first season DVD's. It's really cool and w/ scence selection you can show little snippets of it and not have a dvd engulf your whole class period. You can use the dvd as an egage and take off from there.

This is what I thought of.

The Great Planetary Debate was just that, GREAT! Okay the jokes started getting a litlle crass, but that made it fun. I STILL had more Uranus jokes saved for the finals, BUTT alas That was the END of Uranus. The Galilean Moon Girls were Awesome! I hope I can do something like this in my classroom hopefully w/ less potty humor.

I was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1963. My family moved to Texas when I was 3 and I graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1982. While in high school, I ran cross country and played guitar in a garage band. In 1987 I graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in Geology and a minor in Biology. I moved to San Antonio upon graduating an started working several jobs in the oil industry. I got married, had a child, and changed careers in 1994 - 1995. I taught 8th grade science at Southside Middle School for seven years. I coached basketball the last 4. I came to Reagan High School in 2002 where I have been teaching IPC & GMO since.

The degree to which something is percieved to be true is directly proportional to the coolness factor.
